‘The History of Small Places’ — Rusk, Texas, Workshop | Click here!

The following announcement was submitted by Kelley Snowden, who last wrote about her Voices from Small Places project on September 11, 2017:

Please join the Voices from Small Places team at the Singleton Memorial Library in Rusk, Texas, on Saturday November 4th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

We are hosting another one-day workshop to train community members and academic researchers in the Voices from Small Places approach to documenting small communities. The workshop will explain how participants can use the Voices from Small Places methods to create new community histories and make them available to the public. Through these workshops we hope to train more teams to expand the project, making it possible to continue to document and preserve the history of small places.

Please call 903-566-7434 to register. This workshop is free and open to the public and made possible in part by a grant from Humanities Texas, the state affiliate of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
