Every so often — especially when there is more talk about high food prices — it’s good to remind ourselves who gets most of the dollars spent on food.
It ain’t the farmer, as the chart above will tell you. Producers get about ten cents of each 100 spent on food, according to data produced by the Economic Research Service at the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
