Another Candidate with Rural Plan Withdraws from Presidential Race
New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand has dropped out of the 2020 Democratic presidential primary after failing to get a spot in the next Democratic debate.
The Des Moines Register reported that Gillibrand was good-natured in her Iowa campaigning but discussed serious issues. “She rolled out a plan to protect Social Security, one to help rural America and talked climate change, health care and student debt at campaign stops,” reporter Linh Ta wrote.
