Sen. Barack Obama runs as a candidate beyond partisanship, but his margins over Hillary Clinton are largest in the most partisan counties.
With Wisconsin win, Sen. Barack Obama continues to increase his take of votes from rural communities.
Mike Huckabee won Louisiana because he won rural and exurban votes. Sen. Barack Obama won across the state, but his margins were larger in urban areas than in rural communities.
Sen. Hillary Clinton has pulled more votes from counties that voted for George Bush in 2004 — while the Obama campaign has done best in the bluest of blue communities.
Sen. Barack Obama is stronger in urban Democratic bastions. Former Gov. Mike Huckabee nearly beats McCain in rural Republican strongholds.
When you take the race of voters into account, Sen. Barack Obama does better in urban counties than in rural communities.
